Dear Rush Limbaugh,
You want riots in Denver when the Democrats meet to pick their nominee. Forget about taking on Hillary or Obama, Mr. (and I use that term loosely) Limbaugh. I'll take you on for the both of them. Someone should take your microphone and stick it where the sun don't shine. And I would gladly be that person.

Captain Goose

On the way into work this morning we saw a flock of geese overhead. The weather was really nice yesterday, but surely it's too soon for them to come back? Maybe they were just passing through. I have no idea, and don't know much about geese--I liked Fly Away Home, but saw it only once.

I saw the geese and told myself: Lisa, Be the Lead (as in head, not lead) Goose. Okay, that's a rather silly attempt at visualization, but it's what I've got...

Long time no see...

It's been too long--an understatement. I've been busy parenting, working and filling out financial aid applications for the Future College Freshman. I have been following the primaries and fluctuate between Hillary and Obama. Yes, I am one of those people that yearns for the fulfillment of the so-called "dream ticket" of HillObama, or ObamaHill.

I have also been getting ready for a job shift. My dreams have not come true, and you may find me in the near future at a street corner near you begging for change. Please be nice.

It's the Friday before Christmas...

....and all through the office,
I'm here all alone with no coworkers (or bosses).
The book orders are sitting here on my desk,
In hopes that I'll do them quite quickly...I guess.
Why am I here? I've got shopping to do,
And a daughter home sick with some type of flu.

If I went on any more it would be infinitely more painful, so I'll stop there. I will return to my work and keep an ear open for any signs of life around me. I think I hear a vacuum somewhere...

It's not a good sign that the one thing that makes me want to post is the drive to get to the next level...

Have I been lame? Yes.

So, yes, I haven't posted in a while. LOTS has been going on. I had some great Zippy (Chuckie) photos that I had planned to post...what? Are you surprised? I had some more cat pictures to upload?

My trials lately can best be described as:

Seize the day,
But life gets in the way.
